So long, brick fireplace!

Well, I suppose it’s still brick but at least it no longer looks like it!

Our original plan was to whitewash the brick – a technique I’ve seen on some of my favorite home decor blogs. Unfortunately… after it dried, we really hated it. And it was a lot of work, too! Since we didn’t love the red brick already – and it didn’t fit with our style at all – white washing it didn’t do enough camouflaging for us. Thankfully, going back with paint was always an option so I just straight up painted it.

The white fits our style so much better!
